911 / E911 Notice

Important information about 911 and internet calling

Internet-based (VoIP) phone service handles emergency calls differently from traditional landlines. Before using ezphony, you should understand:

• 911 calls may not work during a power outage, an internet outage, or if your equipment is not working.
• Emergency services need your correct registered location / dispatchable address. You must keep the address for each phone or extension up to date, especially if a device moves.
• Browser and softphone calls from a location other than your registered address may send emergency responders to the wrong place.
